Embroidery and Printing in Plush Toys
Digital embroidery
It is a method of using a computerized embroidery machine to create intricate designs on fabric or materials. These machines can interpret digital embroidery files and stitch the pattern onto the fabric. Computerized embroidery provides precise and detailed stitching, allowing for intricate and customizable designs. It is commonly used in the production of apparel, accessories, home décor and promotional products. It is often used in plush toys to express the doll’s facial expressions and patterns. Advantages: exquisite, vivid and three-dimensional.
Appliqué
The appliqué embroidery process, as the name suggests, is a perfect combination of appliqué and embroidery, with excellent layering and a concave-convex feel. The three-dimensional pattern is outlined by laser and then sewn into the eyes and blush of the plush toy, which can more vividly express the three-dimensional sense of the toy.
Screen printing
Involves transferring ink through a screen onto a substrate, usually a fabric. Make a stencil on the screen, apply ink to the screen, and use a squeegee to press the ink through the stencil onto the substrate. Each color in the design requires a separate screen for multi-color designs. Screen printing is often used to print graphics, logos and designs onto textiles, including patterns for stuffed toys or throw pillows.
Thermal transfer printing
Involves using heat and pressure to transfer the design from a special transfer paper or film to a substrate. Use an inkjet or laser printer to print the design onto transfer paper, then place the paper on the substrate. Use a heat press to apply heat and pressure to activate the ink and transfer the design to the substrate. Thermal transfer printing is versatile and can be used on a variety of materials, including fabrics, plastics, and metals. It is often used to create custom designs for plush toys, apparel, and promotional items.
